Devraj urs medical college, Kolar has quite some history.
The college was started by a trust based in Kerala . This fact din't go well with land grabbing polticians in Karnataka for whom then starting educational institution( at subsidised land rates ) meant acquiring more real estate. Stakes were high - going upto crores .
So murder plots were laid . The politician schemed well. a plot which would kill the Kerala trust's lawyer Rasheed, put in jail a well framed police inspector Uthappa, rowdy Kulla Shantha, 2 police constables.
*politician in below context refers to one particular political figure in Karnataka .
Plot: Politician tells inspector Uthappa to arrange a room for lawyer Rasheed ( politician doesn't display animosity to Kerala trust at this stage ) . Rasheed stays at the booked guest house . 2 police constables chosen by the politician kill Rasheed using nylon ropes. Politician then asks Uthappa to book a car to transfer Rasheed's body to his hometown for burial( he has convinced Uthappa that Rasheed died of heart attack, Uthappa's not seen the body) . Uthappa clueless of what's happening books a car in his own name , signs the guest house visitor book etc. , unaware that all this will be later used to frame him .
The car now has the dead body, rowdy Kunta Nanda and his gang who are asked to put the body on rail track at Salem. The drunk men make a small msitake . They dispose the body beside the track and not on it . This later gets them caught in the court.
Police find body. Case is filed . Politician escapes, and ends up owning the college . The case is fortunately handled by a good judge . Inspector Uthappa sees light of day albeit after 3 yrs of jail term in Salem , he retires as Superintendent of police of Karnataka and is a settled man now living in Ponnampet, Coorg. The constables are out after 3 years of jail term .
