How to get a DD at a bank in India?

1. Obtain details of DD amount, to whom the DD should be addressed and where it is payable. 
2. Take your cheque book and go to the bank.
3. Ask for the commission on your DD amount at the counter.
4.  Request for DD form and fill it.
5. Write cheque for the amount + commission and sign behing the cheque as well.
6. Submit DD form and cheque.
7. Wait for 15 minutes and collect the DD.
8. Verify details on DD and correct the receiver's name if its printed wrongly.
